Well, I'm not sure what to say...other than this website has unofficially gone inactive.    However, I hope this website will be resurrected like the great story of the Phoenix.  Till then please feel free to email me to see how things are going and what other PC games we're or I'm playing.

14-Mar-2002 - cool runnings

This latest patch rocks and archers got some good loving!    I also got a quiddity bow last night after doing the new quiddity ingot quest.  My NeoGSA is now dyed red...an expensive process but I think it looks good with my purple items (helm, gauntlets...etc.).  I also killed my first Crystal Golem last night and it dropped a nice shield with major blade bane on it, only negative is it's Gharu race only...I'll probably trade it soon.

I have decreased my playing time as of late and I know some of you are wondering if things are cool within CNW.  Well, I chatted with Keet and Jazara last night and we pleasantly chatted a little about the new patch.  So, things are better...

05-Mar-2002 - Grief...preventive measures...nothing personal

Well, the past few days in game have not been happy ones for me and I will probably take a break from AC to avoid any more disappointment and being (more or less) labeled as a grief player by certain individuals within CNW, which is based on little or no merit.  I don't appreciate this especially since the grief I'm getting is based off a handful (at best) incidents over the 2.5 years I've been playing this game and it has totally overshadowed all the other good things I have done for this group i.e. being a team player, helping others, managing our Yurt forum, hosting several LAN parties, maintaining this website and more!  Also, I'm not perfect, I make mistakes and I don't have "Politically Correct" in game chat at times and I don't think certain individuals will admit to these type of things as easily as me...they can do no wrong, especially when it comes to this game.  I simply resent being pinned as the "bad guy" and have taken preventive measures to avoid anymore in game grief...I play this game to have fun and I do not deserve this grief.  As for our LAN parties, it's up to the rest of the guys if we will still have them.  Personally I hope we do cause I'm cool with things as they are now and I can face this like a mature adult, regardless of what others may think.  That's my feelings on the subject and I hope y'all can respect that & this isn't taken the wrong way.  Lastly, this is all I'm going to say about it!  Can't we all just get along?  HeHe! 

On a lighter note: Angus will be level 75 today and Nate the Great hit level 30! 

This may be my last update for awhile...we shall see...I need a break.

Ack!  Didn't know that happened Samna.  It's hard to find a good vassal these days...just ask Johnstone (your his only good one so far).  I'm just freaking lucky I guess when I got Johnstone, The Searing Blade and Dhong'r (left game)...you guys are the best!

BTW, I have a new vassal named Rasah the sharpeye...his an archer like me and it looks like he will be another great vassal.  So say hi and welcome him next time you see him in game!

EDIT: Well, I just found out that this new vassal of mine sold his account and broke from me about 2 days after he became my vassal and I gave him a +113% bow (it wasn't one of my best 113s luckily).  That's freaking lame!  It's a shame there is dishonorable losers in this game like that.  So, I guess I just got stung by the crappy vassal bug like Johnstone has lately. Damn shame! I talked to the new "supposed" owner of this account and he says that was cheap of him to do that...blah blah blah.  I have a feeling it is the same guy and just playing games, so I would mark Rasah the sharpeye or Yellow the swiper (appropriate name know that I think about it) as dishonorable and a grief player...to say the least...beware!

27-Feb-2002 - Long time no update:

Hmmm...where do I start?  First, the February patch was probably one of the best yet.  I was able to get my singularity bow (it glows green) and upgraded it...the stats on it ROCK!  It is a +110%, +10% melee D, +10% attack and Blood Drinker VI.  Needless to say, I think it is the best bow in the game especially if you have critter magic like myself.    I will try to get some screenshots of it up sooner or later; or go here for pics of one:  February patch  The new Helm of the Elements quests are cool and provide nice rewards, but the helm more or less sucks IMHO.  The best thing about the quests are the bracelets, XP rewards and writ rewards.  I screwed up and missed getting the prisms from the cold and fire sections of this helm quest but got it right for the acid section.  So, I have to take Nate the Great to get those other prisms I missed cause they say the timer is 3 months for these prisms...I basically just want the XP and prisms for the writs.  Maybe I can get this quest completed this week, if I can get some help.  What else?  I got the new Buadren (see patch link for more) relatively fast...it is a cool new toy for my my gimp archer / wannabe mage.  I got some sweet +113% bows from Borne in our monarchy...thanks bro!  Last but not least, my awesome vassal The Searing Blade traded me his NeoGSA for 8 smalls...a great deal (I finally have some GSA), not to mention he gave me a sweet minor coordination helm...thanks again bro!    I

Oh, our monarchy got a mansion and we can now recall to it...its been cool meeting folks in the monarchy I have never met.  It's nice to have a huge place to socialize and mule with friends in the monarchy! 

I'm not sure when the next [CNW] AC Yurt Party (v. 7.0) will happen.  My best guess is late next month (March).  It looks like I will still be here then...new RL job stuff hasn't materialized yet.  So, I guess that about wraps it up for now.

We finally completed the Aery Quest and Moto killed the Lady for the first time: 

On far Aerlinthe Island, an intrepid band has found the lair of the Dark Lady Aerfalle, at whose whim the earth itself does shake. But the bold Moto Morrashi II has driven her back into her hidden crypts, and the ground stills... until she next awakens. The withered corpse of Aerfalle hisses in rage as it is hewn in twain... "I shall not be sent to a final rest by primitives like thee, Moto Morrashi II!" her severed head says from the stones. "Enjoy this insignificant victory, child. For I have walked this world for over ten millennia, and I shall walk it long hence your little race has returned to the dust that birthed thee!"

Aery Quest Screenshots:

The Queen quest didn't materialize but almost everyone in CNW should be level 70 by the next LAN party.  I will be moving to Portland, OR soon, so it will be a long trip for me but I'll do my best to be there or at least be there online from my new home.  Being there in person will be funnier cause I imagine we will supplement our AC playing time with http://mohaa.ea.com/ MOHAA: Metal of Honor Allied Assault.  We played the multiplayer demo of this game during this most recent LAN party and it was a blast!  It ROCKS!  

Also, we rearranged our mules/characters and got Mithrandur to rank 5, Angus to rank 4 (I actually have 37 followers) and Keet to rank 4.  BTW, I got the black stone for my Atlan claw during the Aery quest.    I guess that about wraps it up...we pretty much spent all out time trying to defeat the Lady, various other individuals tasks and blowing each other away playing MOHAA.

15-Jan-2002 - kudos to myself again: Angus hit level 70! 

I accomplished that on 01/12/02, now there is no quest I can't do!    Well, everyone in CNW met or exceeded the below mentioned (see last update) levels...congrats to you all!  YURT POWER!

17-Dec-2001 - kudos to myself again: Angus hit level 65! 

Angus the Uber Archer is at it again.  WOOT!  YURT!  WOOT!  YURT!   Got Healing finally and it's up to 249 base, with just 5.9 mil xp dumped into it!  BTW, it took me just 13 days to go from level 60 to 65...not bad for a wimpy archer!    HeHe

I'll be pushing for level 70 so we can do the Olthoi Queen quest.  I'm going to try and have it by Jan. 18th, 2002, which is the next scheduled YURT LAN party 6.0 but 70 probably won't happen till like the end of January because I seriously doubt I'll have the time to power level over the holidays & vacation like I did recently to obtain 65.  I just had to get healing ASAP.    So, the next update probably won't be till 01/09/2002 or later due to my vacation & holiday plans.

BTW, congrats to Md on level 65...thanks for the help with those monkeys!    And pre-congrats to Johnstone on level 65, The Searing Blade on level 60 & maybe  65, Thogg on level 40/45?, Jazara on level 55, Samna on level 55, Mithrandur on level 104 and Keet on level 70.  I'm sure y'all will get those levels between now and the next update.

05-Dec-2001 - kudos to myself: Angus hit level 60! 

Angus the Uber Archer hit level 60 two nights ago!  YURT BABY YURT!!!  Just 5 more levels and I can finally pick up healing.  BTW, I got the skill credit figurine turned in, which put me 5 levels closer to healing.    I got to jet...so I'll add more CNW related updates ASAP.

18-Nov-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 5.0 RECAP:

Well, we had fun getting together and playing AC via a LAN/DSL connection again.  Allen was the gracious host this time around and did a great job putting up with us all.  Unfortunately, we didn't complete many of the quests we planned to do but got some good quests in and Johnstone and Angus achieved level 58.  Mithrandur probably got the most out of these quests by getting parts of the Sword of Lost Hope. The mages in the group Samna and Johnstone got their 3mil & 500k Olthoi trophy pincers with some non-mage help and Angus got the 500k pincer (already had the 3mil pincer).  Angus also picked up a great new vassal named The Searing Blade!    I meet him standing in line for the new housing note quest, it was a very long line.  My house looks much better now that we can hang stuff on the walls.  I'll get some screenshots of the new decorations up here soon.  I guess that's about it for now.  Till next time...May the YURT be with you!

08-Nov-2001 - AWESOME NEWS: Last night Mithrandur hit level 100!  

Here are some great screenshots of this major AC milestone:

Actually calling level 100 a major AC milestone is an understatement IMHO.  I was going to do this update late last night but Mith (back to being my meat shield again) helped me get my first Olthoi Elvis pincer...we got it in less then 15 minutes by just mowing them down in the Elvis hive/dungeon.  I had 2.5 million xp to get level 57 at that point, so the 3 million xp from the pincer put me over the top and more.  Pretty cool way to level I must say.  Plus, Mith got his al 60 red Canescent Mattekar robe and I now have both the vial of organic acid (got it last night farting around) and Olthoi ichor, so I just need to obtain 2 matty pelts some how.  Congrats & thanks again Mith/Russ!    See the updated Angus ACscrn & Mith ACscrn web pages for screenshots & more!

03-Nov-2001 - Check it out!  Angus's Cottage    With lots of help from Larry/Samna I got my cottage yesterday.  It has a nice view of the beach near Yaraq.  It's 2 doors up from Samna's cottage and Shawn/Johnstone got a house in the same area just up a little hill from us.  I gave all of CNW permissions (see screenshots for coords) while Shawn and I went to my house during lunch to check it out...needless to say we were excited.  Enjoy the pics and thanks again Larry for all the help getting it!

BTW, Mithrandur, Jazara and Logan got housing near Arwic yesterday after Johnstone, Samna and me got ours near Yaraq.

26-Oct-2001 - We all got AC Dark Majesty via EBgames.com (see order link above) today, as I thought we would...no matter which delivery method we selected (next-day or 2-day).  Therefore, we'll be hitting the new island tonight and having even more fun with AC now that Dark Majesty is here!    BTW, I highly recommend pre-ordering through EBgames.com for new games, cause they simply deliver and on the same day the retail stores get it (I've been 2 for 2 so far)!

24-Oct-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 5.0 Announcement:  We have scheduled our next Yurt LAN party for the weekend of November 16th.  Our main goal is completing the Aery Isle quest!  Plus, I'm sure we'll be doing some new DM quests once the X-pack hits tomorrow and other current quests folks within CNW and the monarchy need to do.  We'll know more soon enough.  Also, I'm really looking forward to getting our own CNW house in game.  I'll post a picture of it and the coords for it ASAP.

BTW, I hit level 56 last night.  Those poor dumb Lugians in the Lin Citadel didn't know what hit them.  LOL  I needed like 70k xp to level, so I power leveled there since I was already there helping/tweaking Hod a.k.a. Johnstone.  I got the 70k xp, plus about 130k more before I was done.

27-Sept-2001 - Added new webpages called Samna ACscrn and Mith ACscrn!  I missed grabbing the screenshot of Mithrandur hitting level 95 during the LAN party (Oops!), but I'll have it included/posted on his screenshots webpage ASAP.

Added the Samna Bio page...thanks for the fast feedback Larry!  Now if I could just get that slacker Lee to do the same.  I also updated everybody's Bio webpages as best I could and I want to remind the rest of the CNW gang to feel free to send me your Bio webpage updates...I can't read your minds. 

26-Sept-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 4.0 Was successful!  We all got the Healer's Heart (except me ...stupid mistake on my part...hehe), Shield of the Simulacra, Helm of the Simulacra, Asteliary Gem (Angus kicked ass on this part of the Stimulacra quest ) and I grabbed a Asteliary Orb...not sure if the rest of the gang bothered grabbing this orb.  Also, a few of us made milestone levels: Samna level 30, Nate the Great level 25 & Mithrandur level 95.  I'm real close to level 55.  BTW, I used my Asteliary gem on my now Imbued Helm of the Simulacra...it looks awesome with my blue armor.  Also, Nate the Great has updated black and gray armor that looks sweet too.

I added a Johnstone ACscrn web page and soon I will add a Samna ACscrn webpage and Mith ACscrn webpage.  No individual Yurt! LAN Party v4 page this time...I never got around to taking any digital photos.  O well, I'll do better next time.

21-Sept-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 4.0 is here!  Festivities start today around 5PM PST, depending on how fast we can get the LAN setup...we always seem to have problems with at least 1 computer and we'll have 7 this time (5 normally).  Those attending will be: all of the CNW gang, Jazara (Allen) and Samna (Larry).  The addition of Jazara and Samna will be nice...the more the merrier.  We're looking forward to meeting Larry.

We are not doing the Chakron or Shendolian quests due to lack of interest...our apologies to the monarchy folks that wanted these quest items.  Also, we are not taking a road trip to the level 55 island...Keet and I are just shy of the 55 mark.  However, we are doing at least 3 out of 4 of the major stone quests, Healer's Heart quest, new Simulacra quests (my Nate the Great character is almost level 25 and Shawn's Reinlander character got level 25 last night...you have to me level 25-35 for it, if I recall correctly), other new quests and probably the Virindi spells quest & soll_upgrade for Mith.  For more information on the new quests from the September patch go here:

08-Sept-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 4.0 Announcement:  Aye, we have ourselves a winner - YURT!!!  It looks we have at least 6 confirmed for September 21st and 22nd.  For now it looks like we may do several quests such as the soll_upgrade which is Mith's pick, V. spells and healers heart (everybody but Logan will want this), some or all the stone quests for Allen, and we may be doing the Chakron and/or Shendolian quests again for our monarchy.  Plus, depending on time and if people get to level 55, and we can get a little help from our monarchy...we might take a trip out to the latest island.  Looks to be like another full plate for us so it should be a lot of fun...Till then guys - YURT!!!

BTW, Congrats Johnstone (Shawn) on level 50!

31-Aug-2001 - Nothing much to report, I didn't play AC for about 3 weeks after the last Yurt! LAN Party.  I guess you could say I was burnt out (more or less) for various reasons.  Quickly, Mith is almost level 93 still striving for level 100, Johnstone is level 48 and close to hitting the half-century mark, I'm half-way to level 54, Keet hit level 50 & currently level 52 (I think) and there is some new guys that work with Keet, Logan and Mith playing AC now.  As soon as someone fills me in on their names I'll mention them here.  Lastly, today was the day we all went out to lunch with me paying for Keet's lunch and Mith paying for Johnstone's lunch...Mith and I both lost power leveling bets, but you can probably see why I lost...hehe!    I guess that about covers it for now.  Oh, I'm not sure when our next Yurt! LAN Party will be and it will more than likely be at Johnstone's place/garage this time around, since he finally got his DSL hooked up.  TTFN  Have a safe Labor Day Weekend!

30-July-2001 - Well, our LAN Party was a success for the most part once again!   I got the [CNW] gang setup with Decal plug-ins and a new AC skin.  The Focus stone quest was a breeze, but the same can't be said about the Chakron quest.  We had a lot of fun as usual!

I created a new photo gallery with RL pictures of us taken during our LAN Party...go here to see them: Yurt! LAN Party v3 - this page also has a short video you can download, which was taken by me before the Chakron quest started.  Lastly, Congrats Johnstone on level 43! 

28-July-2001 - The Shendolian Quest went very well last night!  Yurt Power!

I'm going to create separate screenshot pages for everyone, since the general screenshots page is very full now.  This will also allow me to use the cool new FrontPage 2002 photo galleries (first used on the LAN Parties page).  Here is the first individual screenshots page for me (Angus): Angus Screenshots (it has screenshots from the 07/27/01 Shendolian Quest)!  Also, we have started using Scribe, a Decal Plug-in that exports all your character's stats into a HTML file...here is mine: Angus's Stats Page!  I will have the rest of the gangs' HTML stat pages uploaded here soon...they will be a supplement/addition to our Bio web pages. 

Off to do the Focus Stone and Chakron Quests now...check back for screenshots from them and more (RL photos/video of us during our Yurt LAN Party).

24-July-2001 - I bumped all of our posts on the monarchy forum today concerning our planned quests during the up and coming [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 3.0!

02-July-2001 - [CNW] AC YURT LAN Party version 3.0 Announcement: Our next CNW AC Yurt/LAN Party will be Friday night, July 27th at my place.  It will also continue all day on Saturday, July 28th.  This LAN party is doubling as Keet & Mith's Birthday Party.  We had cookie cake and goodies (thanks to my lovely wife) last time for my B-Day/LAN Party, but it will be up to the rest of the gang to supply that stuff this time around.

Oh yeah, BIG NEWS: Microsoft announced the coming of Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty Expansion Pack (available this holiday)!  On release day we will be waiting at the local gaming store, so we can snag a copy of it!
